I'm going to end this month's quotes with this quote. We use gratitude and thankful interchangeably, but I love how this quote puts it all together:

30 Years of Life

Thank you Lord for Blessing Me with 30 years of life...

Some people find this age devastating, but I look at as a blessing. Some body did not make it to this age, and for God to allow me to see it, means He has something special planned for me. Now, as I reflect over my life, I can still say I am truly blessed. Yes, I have made decisions/mistakes in my life that I wish I could change, but since I cannot change them, I have to learn from them and keep moving forward. I am blessed with positive people in my life, and realized those who were only meant to be known for season, and leaving them behind in that season.

Now I've already started living life this way the beginning of the year and I plan to keep it that way, that is taking care of myself and following God's lead in my life. I have taken steps of faith this past year, and will continue making them. Please pray for me while I'm on this journey, and I will pray for you as well. I encourage all of you that it is not too late to fulfill your dreams, and never let anyone tell you that you cannot succeed. Remember "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Phil. 4:13.

It's simple, if you are feeling gratitude towards someone-express it, let them know. With that being said I want to express my gratitude for God and all the positive people in my life. January Topic!!

Hello All,

Hope you all are taking time out for yourselves this weekend. I'm making a vow  to give myself some 'me' time and focus more on my creative side. We can get so caught up in our jobs, our duties in life, and other people that we do not take out the necessary time for us to relax and enjoy some downtime. If we don't take care of ourselves, who else will?!?
 
I will also be doing some updating to my blog, I was trying to do it last week, but for some reason it was not saving. I am trying to figure out what other things to include on my blog so if you have any ideas let me know. I'm open to suggestions. :)

This month I want to began on one of my goals of having a spirit of gratitude, so that brings me to the first topic of the year gratitude/thankfulness.  The quotes will begin Monday, January 7th. If you have a topic you want me to include feel free to let me know.

Reflections for the Past Year, Goals for the New Year!!

Reflections...
 I am extremely thankful for being able to see a new year!! As we all know that so much tragedy happened last year that we all should be grateful. As I take this time to reflect over this past year, I can honestly say that 2012 was not a bad year at all. I accomplished some of my goals for that year. I was blessed to have had a job for almost 11 years, and to have amazing friends that I call family. I left my Target family and entered my field of study. I love getting the experience that will lead me on in my future. I'm also thankful for the new friends I met at my new place of employment that I will forever be connected to. I believe that I started becoming a better person all around, even though that still needs work :). Me and the love of my life reached our three year mark :). I started working on my books again and started this blog. All & all I can say 2012 was still a blessed year for me.

Goals...
I don't usually say resolutions, I say goals because I pay more attention to that word. My main important goal for this year is to put more God in my life and have a spirit of gratitude. I want my faith to increase in Him. I have always prayed that God will use me as a blessing to others, and I feel Him doing that, and I believe that this year He is going to really me moving and sending me out to explore new horizons. I also want to continue to grow better and healthier in every area of my life. I want to start saving up for a house and getting my finances in order, my car will be paid off this year, God willing!! I also plan to take the GRE and get my masters. That was a goal I didn't complete last year :). I know I'm leaving some goals out, but those are some of the main ones. I'm also excited about turning 30 this year, God Willing!! Some people dread this age, but to me it's just the beginning of a new decade to do more positive things. I'm going to do some reflections of course on that day also. I'm going to strive to do more of my creative works and stay with it, i.e. this blog. 

  Whether you say resolutions or goals, I pray that you have the faith and determination to complete them. Do not worry about what others have to say, if it's something you want to work on, do it for yourself.!!! Wishing you many blessings throughout this year and those to come...
