Weight Loss Journey

One of my goals that I set for myself every year is to be a healthier person, so far I have not done so great on this goal. This year I am determined to reach my goal. I will be posting updates on this goal on my blog and asking others to share their weight loss journey as well. I was going to start on this earlier this month, but my mind and body had different plans for me. So I started today. I weighed myself this morning and my starting weight is 221.6. I currently fit into a size 2xl or 3xl shirt depending on the style and a size 16 or 18 pants. That wasn't easy sharing that info, but I have to make myself accountable for reaching my goal. My weight goal is 170. I'm not good at eating healthy or working out consistently, but I am willing. I am trying this app called 'lark' on my phone to help out with the journey. I would love to hear from those of you on this journey as well. I will update weekly...


January 23, 2016 Update for the week

This week I starting using my pedometer to track my steps,
and I will start logging my activity next week in my notebook. I also have been using the app 'Lark' this week, and so far I like using it to track my activity and meals. My goal to eat healthy went well until Friday evening and today. I had pizza, but my meals for the week were healthy. My doctor told me to cut back on cheese, but I love cheese, so that is going to be so hard for me to do. I am cutting back, and trying to eat cheese every other day, and then move forward to at least twice a week. I had my first soda of the week yesterday! Awesome record!! It's not hard for me to cut back on soda, but sometimes once I go back to drinking it, I cannot stop. I also joined a group on Facebook to help with inspiration and accountability. I plan to weigh myself once a month
, so I do not get depressed on the scale because I know that I will lose inches before losing pounds. So, that is my update for the week. Pressing forward!!! 

January 31, 2016 Update for last week

Well lets say the rest of this month has been a challenge, health wise. My birthday was last week, so I had plenty of sweet and unhealthy food, but I am not going to let that stop me from starting fresh this month. I did use my pedometer to keep track of my steps. I walked more the middle of the week than towards the end. I am uploading my full body shots, so I can have a comparison on my journey. Please keep me in your prayers on this journey. I plan to join a gym, but until then I am going to pull out some old workout videos. I'll post pics of the videos I use during the week on the next update. Keeping it moving!! Update March 10, 2016

Here is an update on my weight loss journey since last time I posted. I'll be honest and say I slacked horribly during the month of February and a little this month. It's hard to get my mind  mentally focused on what I need to do for my health, but I am still pushing forward. I did weigh myself last month and I did not gain or lose, so I was still at 221.6. However, I weighed myself this month and I am at 223. I cannot even be mad because I know that I have not been during what I set out to do. I have been working out, but not like I should. I am following this squats/pushups chart for this month. Even though I think this one was for men, squats are my favorite exercise. Pushups not so much, but I do try to them girly style or against a wall lol.
I also found a good idea for rewarding myself every time I do a workout.
Well, I guess this is it for now. Hopefully, I will be able to update with some pounds lost next time. Until be blessed!!
