Negative people causes negative reactions in us. This statement is true for the majority of people. We are so easily influenced by other peoples negative thoughts/attitudes. Even though this is true, is it the way we must constantly live our lives? I have chosen to take the alternative approach to this effect, and not let people determine how my day or my life will be. Yes we are human and we all have mood swings/bad days and sometimes feel negative in situations, but it's up to us to keep them contained in a way that doesn't cause others to feel the negativity we throw off.
I personally have been practicing ways to control my moods/bad days by staying quiet when I'm in a bad mood and put my iPod on full blast until the mood passes away, so I won't pop off with attitude on someone else. I also let people know I'm in a bad mood so it will cause no wondering why I'm not saying anything, lol. I also let people have their space when they are in a bad mood, so they can get passed it, either that or try to cheer them up, and at the same time not letting them effect my mood. Now I know we have some people who are just "Negative Nancys" (negative all the dang time). I'm naturally an empathetic person, but if a person is constantly negative, that drains me, so I have to keep it moving. I say a quick prayer for them, and keep them out of my circle.
I just had to get that off my mind, because it is so much negativity going on in the world today. So many people are too worried about what positive things are going on in another person's life (and trying to tear them down) instead of increasing the positivity in their own lives. With that being said, don't be so easily influenced by other people's negativity, and control your own negativity, cause at the end of the day we all live our own life, and no one is going to want better for us then God, ourselves, and those who truly love us.
